Welcome
Introduction from the Principal:-

December saw us celebrate 10 Years of business, from humble beginnings and sheer hard work, a dream of mine & my wife Maxine came to life on the 3rd December 2001,10 years ago.

I can still remember how nervous I was on that first day when our doors opened, memories that will stay with me forever, like Keith Harris dropping off a bunch of sticks for my signs wishing me all the best, and my first listing, Jack & Kay Bamback, a long term friend of ours, and my late father in-law building the window display, it’s that type of support that has contributed to our success.

I had a successful career in Real Estate for 6 years before opening Baird Real Estate, but if it was not for   Maxine’s encouragement and support, it may not have happened. Maxine had a retail background and spent several years in the Real Estate Industry where she soon discovered the passion that I had.

Myself & Maxine created a very strong independent brand in Cessnock, with striking orange & navy colours, and over the years have grown our business. We’ve nearly grown out of our office, as the business grows, so does our team, so we have had to do some renovations over the years. Not only has the business grown, but the industry has had some major changes and there has been some amazing innovations, I’ve had to brush up on my computer skills over the years, Real Estate is all about online these days, but the client relationship still remains the most significant and a part of the industry that will never change.

Over the years, Maxine & I have had some wonderful achievements, the business has won and been a finalist nearly every year in the prestigious REI Excellence Awards and the agency was featured on channel 7’s Hot Auctions where Baird Real Estate sold a property under the hammer with over 300 people in attendance.   Maxine and I also share a passion for property development and design and are very proud of our achievements, to date winning a HIA Master Builders award for a house we constructed in 2009.

Maxine and I have two children, who have grown up with the business, Maxine’s tireless commitment to raising funds for Autism awareness continues with some amazing achievements through the Strive group she has pioneered, raising over $100,000 for the Cessnock community and giving many children opportunities through schools, the support Strive group receives has been very gratifying, we have over 180 members now.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the support of our family for the past 10 years and all of our clients, past and present. We look forward to another 10, I reckon we’ve got it in us!

From myself and all the team at Baird Real Estate we wish you all a Happy New Year!
